Overview
FlowLab is a flexible node-based workflow tool for pre-processing data, creating and displaying data visualisation workflows.
Architecture
FlowLab is a Lerna monorepo with a modular architecture:
- Frontend: a React app providing the interactive UI for building information visualisation workflows.
- Backend: Express and Node.js, handling data processing, storage, and the APIs.
- Nodes: declarative, class-based nodes that hold the data processing and visualisation logic.
- DruidJS: a vendored build of DruidJS, a JavaScript library for dimensionality reduction by Rene Cutura, Christoph Kralj and Michael Sedlmair. It was cloned and given type definitions to resolve build incompatibilities with the project.
- Shared: common utilities and types used across the packages.
